Have you heard about Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Seasoning? I had seen it a few times at Trader Joe’s and then I started seeing people on Instagram using it on various things, like avocado toast (YUM) and finally decided I needed to pick some up.

If you haven’t already picked some of this up yourself, you need to run to the store and pick some up ASAP! It’s a blend of sea salt, garlic, onion and sesame seeds and it tastes amazing.

I’ve never actually had an everything bagel, but after tasting this seasoning, I think I’m in love with them.  Besides tasting awesome on a bagel, I think it would taste great sprinkled on chicken or steak and I’m definitely going to be trying it on avocado toast.

For my first go around with this seasoning, I decided to liberally sprinkle some on cubes of butternut squash, toss them with some olive oil and roast it all to tasty perfection. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

I mean, look at that color from the caramelization! It was so incredibly easy to prepare and so full of great flavor. It’s a side dish you will want on regular rotation.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz) pkg fresh cubed butternut squash
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Trader Joe's Everything but the Bagel seasoning mix

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Toss squash with olive oil and seasoning mix.
  • Spread in a single layer on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or coated with cooking spray.
  • Roast for 25 minutes until squash is browned.
  • Notes

I highly recommend using fresh squash for this recipe rather than frozen. The fresh is going to stand up to the roasting much better than frozen. The Frozen will likely become very mushy.
