Here you will find 10 great appetizers for the holidays with both hot and cold options. Most of the recipes are also make ahead friendly!

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away and then of course New Year’s will be right on the heels of Christmas. That means that in the next week and a half there are going to be a lot of celebrations going on. Which means that there will be a lot of food being made!  I’m sure many of you already have a freezer full of Christmas goodies.

In addition to all of the cookies and treats, there always seems to be a need for appetizers this time of year. We always host Christmas Eve at our house and I like to serve a few appetizers before dinner and on Christmas Day I’m usually asked to bring an appetizer to the celebration at my in-law’s house. When New Year’s Eve rolls around, I don’t entertain very often, but we usually go to a party in our neighborhood and again, I need to have a great appetizer to bring.

I’m sure many of you are making appetizers for your celebrations as well. If you’re having trouble coming up with ideas here is a list of 10 of my favorite appetizers. If something looks good, just click on the link for the recipe.
