Instead of fighting crowds this Valentine’s Day, why not make a romantic Valentine’s dinner at home. It will cost much less and no reservations are needed.
Going out for dinner on Valentine’s Day always seems like such a great idea, but it doesn’t always pan out that way. If you haven’t made your reservations weeks in advance it can be difficult to get a reservation at a reasonable time.
I know I’ve called too late and the best they can offer me is a 9:30 reservation, well who wants to wait until 9:30 to start the evening? It can also be very expensive and if you have small children, you have the added expense of a babysitter.
So I have a solution that is sure to be stress free and affordable……make your own dinner at home. I have a great menu for you that’s easy to prepare, won’t break the bank and with the exception of the dessert (all thing’s in moderation, right?), is actually pretty healthy.
What’s not to love about a romantic dinner with your sweetie right in your own home? No reservations or crowds involved, it sounds pretty cozy to me!
Start off with these delicious Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Mushrooms. They are absolutely delicious and most of the work can be done earlier in the day.
For the main course, Shrimp Scampi in Parchment is a delicious choice. It can also be prepared in advance so that all you need to do is bake right before dinner. It cooks quickly and turns out perfectly every time!
This Field Greens Salad is the perfect accompaniment with the shrimp scampi. It’s also easy to prepare and the homemade croutons are to die for!
Every Valentine’s dinner needs to end with something chocolate and this Dark Chocolate Cheesecake with Chocolate Ganache Topping will not disappoint. It’s rich and creamy and bursting with chocolate flavor, the perfect ending to this perfect Valentine’s dinner.
ENJOY!
