These easy truffle gruyere scrambled eggs are elevated cheesy eggs that are a delicious way to treat yourself to a little luxury.
Sometimes it’s the little splurges in life that make you feel like you’re indulging yourself. Things like a really good piece of dark chocolate or serving dinner on china, just because or maybe picking up some fresh flowers at the market for no particular reason except they look beautiful.
These scrambled eggs definitely qualify as an indulgence. They can turn breakfast any day of the week into something special. What makes them so special? It’s the addition of some quality gruyere cheese and the star of the show…….truffle oil. It makes ordinary eggs over-the-top delicious! I know truffle oil is not an inexpensive ingredient….BUT….a little goes a long way, so even a small bottle will last you for a long time.

“Fancy Pants” Scrambled Eggs
Per Serving:
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp milk
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp butter
- 3 tbsp gruyere cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp truffle oil
Whisk eggs together with milk. Season with salt and pepper
Melt butter in a small non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
Pour egg mixture into pan.
Push mixture around that pan with a rubber spatula, scraping across the bottom of the pan.
Once eggs are starting to set up, but are still wet, add the shredded cheese, stirring in with spatula.
Once eggs are set, transfer to a serving plate and drizzle with truffle oil.
