I get so excited every month when I get the email that says your Fix is on its way. It’s so fun to get that package and see what my stylist, Kim, has put together for me. It’s always a great surprise. I’ve been getting Stitch Fix since May and my wardrobe now works so well for me. Things coordinate so well which makes it so easy to put together an outfit.
If you’re not familiar with Stitch Fix, here’s how it works, it’s a personal styling service and it’s a great way to add new clothes to your wardrobe. When you sign up for your first fix, you’ll fill out a detailed personal profile so that your stylist has a good idea of your preferences, including your size, style and budget. For a $20.00 styling fee, your stylist will hand-pick five clothing and/or accessory items that meet your criteria. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll get your first fix within a few weeks. You can schedule a Stitch Fix to arrive automatically once a month or more or less frequently, whatever’s convenient for you.
Once your package arrives, you have three days to try everything on and see how it works with your existing wardrobe. If there’s anything you don’t like, just put it in the postage paid envelope that’s included and send it back. The $20.00 styling fee will be applied to anything that you do purchase and if you purchase all five items, you receive a 25% discount. If you refer other people to sign up, you’ll receive a $25.00 credit for each person that can be used on future purchases.
I was definitely not disappointed with my fix this month. I had requested a dress for fall and winter as well as a winter coat and my stylist did not disappoint. Let me show you everything I got.
Collective Concepts – Jayne Dress ($88.00) – I absolutely adore this dress! The sleeves are great for fall and winter and the style is perfect, fit and flair dresses are always so flattering. I can keep it more casual with tights and flat boots or dress it up with heels and the right jewelry. It will be perfect for the holidays or dinner out. Verdict: Kept
Pixley – Dali Open Drape Cardigan ($78.00) – I have a serious weakness for fly away sweaters, so when I saw this sweater in my fix, it was love at first sight. This sweater is fairly heavy, so it will be super cozy when the cold winter temperatures set in. My stylist suggested I pair it with the dress, although, I’m not sure I’m sold on that look, I think it looks a little bulky. But I love it paired with jeans and t-shirt. I see myself wearing this often. Verdict: Kept
THML – Jaylie Cowl Neck Colorblocked Poncho ($88.00) – I have to admit, I wasn’t sold on this poncho right away, it’s taking me out of my box a bit. I had pinned a colorblocked sweater but it wasn’t available, so my stylist thought I would like this poncho. I had to try it on and get my daughter’s opinion. She thought it was cute and looked like something I would wear. After trying it on with a couple of different things, I had to agree. It’s soft and cozy and will go with a lot of pieces in my wardrobe. Verdict: Kept
Kut From The Kloth – Jonathan Skinny Corduroy ($68.00) – I had recently read that corduroys were a big trend this season, so I wasn’t surprised to find a pair in my fix. I wasn’t completely convince I would like them until I tried them on. They’re soft and comfortable and I love the dark green color. They look great with the poncho as well as the cardigan in the photo above. I have quite a few other sweaters that will match these, so I’m sure they will be on heavy rotation. Verdict: Kept
Andrew Marc – Loksa Down Puffer Coat ($118.00) – I had pinned this coat and so I was super excited to see it in my fix. It is absolutely perfect! The length is great and it’s fitted enough that it doesn’t look bulky. I know it will keep me warm and cozy all winter. Verdict: Kept
So, it was five for five once again and my wardrobe just keeps getting better. I’m already looking forward to next month!
