I’ve been hosting Thanksgiving at my house for my family for many years now. Just the other day I was trying to remember when the first year was. I had to think about it for a while, but I finally remembered that it was 18 years ago, which was the year that Alex was born. He was only about 2 weeks old that Thanksgiving, so my family said they would come over and bring Thanksgiving to us. So while I sat and took care of Alex, everyone in my family got to work and made the dinner.
We enjoyed having everyone over to our house so much that we’ve hosted every year since. The menu has evolved some over the years, but not much. Everyone has their favorites and if I messed with them too much there’d be trouble….I’m just sayin’.
What I’ve listed below are some of my family’s Thanksgiving favorites. Since most of what I make every year is the same it makes planning very easy, but sometimes I just want to try something new, so I’ve included a couple of newer recipes as well!
Sweet Potato Bisque with Truffle Oil
Apple and Dried Cranberry Stuffing
Fresh Green Bean with Shallot Butter Sauce
Three Ingredient Pumpkin Cake with Creme Fraiche Topping
ENJOY!

Everything looks delish, Lisa. But my favorite is that stuffing! Love the apples and cranberries. Thanks for sharing at Church Supper. Have a blessed week & come back soon!

Thanks Krista! I absolutely love this stuffing too! The original recipe has sausage in it too, but some of my family members don't care for sausage so I had to omit it. But it is quite delicious with the sausage as well!
