Asian Sweet and Sour Meatballs

I'm a big fan of these meatballs. They are a great appetizer for any occasion, a tasty compliment to many dishes and can be a main course meal. So versatile!

This meatball recipe is great for making ahead and freezing. I often make a double batch, eat one now and freeze the other for later.

KEY INGREDIENTS

- Ground beef - Plain panko breadcrumbs - Canned water chestnuts - Ginger paste - Plum sauce - Asian chili sauce

Combine beef, onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, water chestnuts and breadcrumbs in a large bowl and make 1" diameter meatballs

Place meatballs in a single layer in a baking dish and put in preheated 400 degree oven for 15 minutes

After 15 minutes, take baking dish out of oven, cover meatballs in sweet and sour sauce and bake for another 15 minutes
