Thursday’s Treasures

I am absolutely thrilled to be co-hosting my first linky party this week!  I am co-hosting Thursday’s Treasures with two wonderful and lovely ladies, Debi from Recipes for My Boys and Joan from Chocolate, Chocolate and More Chocolate.  Make sure you pop over to their blogs and say hello!

Before we get to the party, I would like to share my latest creation with you.  It’s a recipe for slow cooker brisket sliders, topped off with homemade coleslaw.  Since the slow cooker does most of the work for you,  it’s super easy to put together!

Slow Cooker Brisket Sliders

  • 1 beef brisket, about 3 lbs
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 8 slider size buns
  • your favorite barbecue sauce
  • coleslaw

Place brisket in slow cooker.  Sprinkle with all of the spices and top with the sliced onions.  Add the beef stock, cover and cook for 8-10 hours on low.

Once the brisket is finished cooking, remove from slow cooker.  Slice across the grain into thin pieces.

To assemble sliders, put a couple of slices of brisket on the bottom of each bun and top with barbecue sauce and coleslaw.

So now that we all have a sandwich to snack on, LET’S PARTY!!
