Sliders seem to be everywhere these days and in all kinds of varieties. Restaurants are offering meatloaf sliders, BBQ pork sliders, chicken sliders, and of course, burger sliders. And I can see why, their smallness makes them cute and FUN! So of course, I wanted to make them at home.
A while back, I found a recipe in Cooking Light for sliders that was really easy and really tasty. So these sliders are very similar to that recipe, with just a couple of changes. They would be perfect to serve at your Superbowl party!
Super Sliders
For four sliders:
- 1/2 lb ground beef (I used 93% lean)
- salt and pepper
- 4 slider buns
- olive oil
- prepared pesto
- 1/4 cup roasted red pepper
- 2 tbsp shaved parmesan cheese
Form ground beef into four patties and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat.
Split slider rolls and drizzle with olive oil. Place in pan and grill until toasted. Remove from pan and spread a little pesto on each half.
Set buns aside. Grill burgers four minutes on each side.
Place each burger on a bun. Top with red pepper and parmesan. Serve immediately.
ENJOY!
