This week my posts have all been about quick and easy sweet treats that take a little help from the grocery store. Today’s post gets it’s start from crescent rolls. I found this recipe at Jennifer Cooks and I thought it was a fabulous idea. You get the help from the grocery store with the crescent rolls, but you get the homemade flavor by making your own filling and glaze. What’s not to love about that? The filling and the glaze take almost no time to make, so you can really make these any day of the week!
Crescent Roll Cinnamon Rolls
For rolls:
- 1 can crescent rolls
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-2 tbsp milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine butter, sugar and cinnamon. Beat until well combined.
Separate crescent rolls into triangles. Divide sugar mixture between rolls and spread out evenly. Roll each triangle up and pinch together all of the seams.
Place rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or coated with cooking spray). Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until golden. Some of the filling will ooze out during baking.
While rolls are baking, combine powdered sugar and vanilla. Whisk in milk a little at a time, until a thin glaze forms. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Serve while still warm or reheat in the microwave slightly.
ENJOY!
